INFO:
Love House by @takeshi_hosaka_official A true masterclass in making the most of a tiny footprint. Built on just 3m x 10m (about 33 square meters) of land, this compact home challenges the idea that small spaces have to feel cramped. Instead, it embraces openness, natural light, and a strong connection to the outdoors. The house features a 6-meter-high main space, giving it a surprisingly airy feel. The curved and straight staircases create a unique visual flow, while the roof follows their lines, leaving parts of the house semi-outdoor—meaning you can literally feel the rain falling in certain spots. Notably, the house lacks traditional windows, instead utilizing skylights and strategic openings to invite natural light, creating a serene and open atmosphere Inside, the design is all about functionality. While the kitchen is set up with a dishwasher-width counter, making it extremely efficient, the sleeping area fits two beds lengthwise, maximizing every inch of space. One of the most striking features is the central tree in the garden, creating a natural retreat where you can sit, read, or just unwind. What’s amazing about this house is how it brings nature into such a tiny urban plot. Hosaka-san designed it with the realization that even on a mere 33 square meters, it’s possible to create a space that feels open, breathable, and full of life.
